Sophie Barker

Sophie Barker has sung with Zero 7, Groove Armada, The Egg, Tocadisco, Grooverider and many more, establishing herself as one of the best known/loved female voices in the UK. Having started singing at the age of 13, Sophie found fame with the million selling album 'Simple Things' with Zero 7 on which she co-wrote and sang the hits 'In The Waiting Line' and 'Destiny'.

Since then, Sophie has recorded a second album with Zero 7, as well as a solo album 'Earthbound' and a children's album called 'Lullaby prior to meeting with us at our publishers' base in the UK. Following a few meetings we were delighted to produce the album "Seagull" and single "A Forest" for Sophie, launching a full UK campaign following the album's completion.

The marketing campaign, which has seen Sophie tour the US twice as well as the UK, featured spots on BBC Breakfast, Radio 4's Loose Ends, Woman's Hour, interviews with Steve Lamacq on Radio 2 as well as plenty spot plays for single "Say Goodbye" including Terry Wogan's Radio 2 show. There was also a deal with the Hearst magazine group in support of Sophie's album release, a remix competition through the iPhone/iPad application 'RjDj' as well as remixes from the likes of Mad Professor, DBridge, The Beauty Room and many more.

Sophie is currently working with Alex Pilkington on producing a new EP of works set for a 2013 release.
